Clowns are comic performers, stereotypically characterized by their colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, and unusually large footwear.
Clowning is a form of entertainment that has appeared in some manner in virtually every culture dating back to ancient Greece. Clowns work at children's parties, circuses, corporate functions, on television shows, as buskers, and at festivals, restaurants, promotions and grand openings. They often do face painting, balloon sculpture and even magic tricks to entertain children of all ages.
Mimes are silent clowns that are very skilled in physical, improvisational comedy. Clowns and mimes can bring laughter and creative fun to any important event.
