Hypnosis and Ultradian Rythym - A way to relax

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 4:00 pm

Hypnosis and Ultradian Rythym a natural strategy for relaxation and healing

Pressure of modern-day life
So many people these days are under so much pressure to perform in one way or another and under so much strain from just everyday living in a fast paced and highly stressed modern world.

It is little wonder then that some people turn to relaxation therapy as a way to slow down the madness and to allow them time to catch their breath. In fact what they are doing is a natural and necessary process of the human condition, that becomes for those who want to reduce the stress, like a kind of pressure release valve, or a time-out to re-focus and perhaps change direction, or fine tune what we are doing.

A new thought
Ernest Rossi, an American psychologist studying the minds activities, found that when a person is not under any pressure to do anything during the day, they remain in a conscious state for about 90 minutes and then move into a trance like state for about 20 minutes, and this cycle is maintained, as long as there is no direct pressure to anything in particular.

This trance time, is like a kind of day-dreaming, or a time-out to just catch up with whatever they ve been concentrating on or doing consciously.

It is also interesting that this cycle, which Rossi called Ultradian Rhythm also applies to animals. In considering its application in my field of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, I realise that we can utilise this natural cycle to help us make best use of our time when learning, studying, or making an important decision. If we work consciously at the task in hand for about 90 minutes, and then take a time out to relax and just let our mind wander, daydream, let the thoughts just float past without trying to concentrate on or understand them, then this may help us to reach a speedy and useful resolution to whatever we are attempting to achieve.

Combination and a new therapeutic strategy
Now, if you take this concept a step further and combine the time-out with a good focused hypnotherapy deep relaxation session of the kind I often provide for clients, then the results can be truly spectacular, both in terms of de-stressing, and in terms of creativity and resolution to our task.

This strategy seems to be a worthwhile and highly beneficial tool in the therapist tool box, and also a simple way for those who might otherwise suffer from undue stress and negativity in their day, to relax, have a time to heal, and be creative at the same time.

The message is clear take several time outs each day to just relax, let go, and let that super powerful creative subconscious mind of your work as it was designed to do and enjoy a greater sense of achievement in life and a greatly reduced strain.

Landing Gigs As A Magician

Filed under: Magician Magic Shows — maghyp @ 4:00 am

As a wedding magician, you can have great opportunities in marketing your skills. There are many ways for you to do that.

- For example, during the awkward period while waiting for the couple’s arrival in the venue of the reception, you can help lighten up the tension by providing entertainment. Sometimes it may take a while for the newlyweds to come to the reception, and it is not a good and pleasant idea for every one to be in a room that is full of almost complete strangers waiting for the couple to arrive. A magician like you can help ease this problem, and help people talk and laugh.

- In every reception, there is a DJ or a show band hired to entertain the guests. However, a magician like you can be a nice change from the usual dancing. While guests are eating their dinner, you can give 45 minutes of laughter and fun. You can do delightful tricks such as floating roses to offer to the wedding bridesmaid.

- It pays to do some research. Can you find out if there are many children that are going to be present at the wedding reception? If so, then you can make a show for the children, providing a nice diversion for them while their parents mingle.

- The tips above will bolster your record as a quality wedding magician who has a good reputation when it comes to performing on wedding occasions. However, if you are relatively free from your wedding gigs, why not make some promotional brochures for your target market. Your business card or brochure should say that you are the “Magician for Weddings” and not just “Magician for all Occasions.” Your marketing brochure should show that you are someone that is a specialist in the said market. Be the wedding expert.

- You might want to make a small “wedding planner” brochure, providing information on food arrangements, flower services, on renting a tuxedo or gown, among others. In the brochure, put in an article on how magicians can provide great entertainment in wedding receptions. Leave some room for your advertising. Distribute these to establishments that cater to such occasions. They would be happier to post your brochure if you include their establishments in your brochure.

- Make sure that customers can contact you anytime they want. Give them your phone and fax numbers, as well as your website and email addresses.

‘Manufacturing Consent’ and Hypnosis

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 4:00 am

Noam Chomsky s Manufacturing Consent :

When Chomsky speaks about thought control in a democratic society” is he properly called a Conspiracy Theorist? Is there a real plan that our leaders have? Does it go as far as what FDR said when he noticed If it happened, it was planned ? As I often say throughout all my books If there is no plan; we need one. Let s make it a plan or conspiracy based on Love. Chomsky was the educational and psychological guru for many years before he got a conscience after seeing the way his Neuro-Linguistic-Programming was used by government agencies and the medical model. He may not yet be telling the truth of what he knows about these things. Maybe he is not aware of the applications in conjunction with the work of Dr. Michael Persinger but in listening to his speeches a couple of times I say he is very much aware of the underlying ethos that rules our world.

HYPNOTIC METHODS IN MEDIA:

This is an entry from one volume of my Encyclopedia. The mind and the soul have ways of integrating that we have carried on a great length about under diverse entries such as Thalami, Aum (Om) and wholistic medical advances or Cancer cures. Under magnetism we mentioned Mesmer who is considered the ‘Father of Hypnosis’ by many. Hypnosis is just another way to achieve an altered state of consciousness like meditation or good sex. Like many avenues to the soul and away from the control of those who would keep us in the dark and treat us like mushrooms (feeding us the excrement of animals they think are as low as they truly are); hypnotism has suffered the attacks of many well-respected ‘experts’. It has shown it has validity and value despite this often frontal assault on what actually ‘works’! The power of positive thinking became a major part of the culture and self-help genre in the 70s and it is a form of hypnosis sometimes.

“Hypnosis is a level of consciousness that is being neither awake nor asleep. Hypnosis is a state of heightened suggestibility normally characterized by focused or concentrated attention and often bodily relaxation. Music, focusing on deep breathing, isolation tanks, meditation, focusing on a word such as ‘calm’ over and over, running, massage, saunas, even warm baths can alter consciousness. {Fasting can accentuate any INTENT, as well.}

Any atmosphere that encourages imagery can alter consciousness. This may include:
*The scent of burning incense
*Lighting effects with flickering candles in darkness, stained glass windows
*Emotion-arousing music, repetitive sounds, chanting
*Symbolism with specific architectural designs, decor with pictures and ornate carvings, robes, etc.
*Point of fixation such as an altar, picture, candle flame, or cross
*Ceremony with certain rituals
*Sermon with repetitive ideas or sounds and specific voice inflections
*Silent meditation with eyes closed, focusing attention away from the outer world to the inner world of the mind

Any and all of these factors {Plus repetitive propaganda and peer expectation.} may aid the creation of an altered state of consciousness, which some people call the superconscious state of a ‘higher self’ state. The unfortunate fact is that this state also is capitalized on by more than 5,000 cults in America, which exploit followers under the guise of healing, personal growth, and self-actualization.

My most memorable show of the eighties was at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) in Vancouver, British Columbia. We held 33 evening concerts in 17 days. More than 50,000 people saw our presentations with up to 5,000 spectators at a single performance. The shows were done on a huge stage that was often over-crowded even though it could hold more than 200 people.

The expectancy of the crowd reached the point where I could walk on stage and within
seconds have 50 to 100 people collapse in seconds and fall to the floor. All I had to do was go to the center of the stage, look over the entire crowd, raise my right hand and simultaneously drop it, and in a commanding voice shout ‘Sleep’. This was a quick way to get the show moving, and that was important for full entertainment impact. The audience couldn’t get enough of the show and enjoyed the humor the volunteers’ antics created much more than how the actual hypnosis worked. (7)
