Cure Your Bird Phobia with Hypnosis

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 9:00 am

One of the hardest phobias, both to deal with and explain to your friends, is a bird phobia. Sure, everyone thinks they’re pretty. They sing their little songs, the have the lovely plumage, and they look nice on tree branches. But they’ve also got those talons, those beaks, and a set of nasty wings that they put to use in the most bizarre ways. A bird phobia is not uncommon, but it is very inconvenient when you want to go outside to mow the lawn or work in the garden. Let’s face it, the birds aren’t going anywhere and you need to conquer your fear of them if you want to leave the house without always nervously looking skyward. Hypnosis is one way in which you can finally put your bird phobia to rest and enjoy the outdoors.

Though when most people think of hypnosis as a way to quit smoking or make other people think they are chickens, it is actually a powerful tool for ridding oneself of phobias. Thanks to its ability to, in a way, reprogram the conscious mind through the subconscious mind, hypnosis can help you rid yourself of bothersome bugaboos such as a bird phobia.

Hypnosis uses a form of deep relaxation, not unlike meditation, to calm the subject into a state in which suggestion may be applied. These suggestions can be very powerful, as they tap into the subject’s subconscious mind to work through the roadblocks, such as phobias, that prevent us from fully enjoying all that life has to offer. Thus, a bird phobia can be conquered through the use of self-hypnosis tapes or by visiting a professional hypnotherapist.

If you want to finally put your bird phobia to rest, hypnosis may be your key to fully enjoying the outdoors. You don’t need to continually listen for bird calls, worrying just how far away those little terrors may be. Instead, you could simply appreciate the sounds of their songs, their brilliant colors, and their grace in the air. Hypnosis can turn your feathered fiends into feathered friends in very little time. If you want to give it a try, there are plenty of resources available. So start investigating your options and see what hypnosis can do for your bird phobia.

Tips On Being A Successful Magician

Filed under: Magician Magic Shows — maghyp @ 9:00 pm

People who want to get into the profession of performing as a magician should know about the ins and outs of the business.

Being a professional magician is a field which is quite hard to get into without the proper motivation, know-how and guidance.

Here are some helpful tips on how you can land a gig as a magician and break into the field of performing magic tricks professionally:

1. Search within yourself and find out what you wish to gain from magic.

You might consider this field because you have found out that you are good with magic tricks. Another motivation could be that you love to perform in front of people. Whatever it is that pushes you to go after the art of magic tricks, you have to make sure that they are the proper reasons and that you see yourself doing it with passion and flair for many years to come.

2. It takes one to know one.

If you want to be a professional magician, learn everything you can about the field first. Check out the tricks of the trade.

If possible, study the ancient magic tricks and learn about how the greatest magicians started out and what their ’signature tricks’ were.

If you are a magician who is just starting out, you should watch as much magic as you can.

Go to magic shows and see how the magicians perform and interact with the audience. Watch videos and imitate the performers if you can. The more tricks you have up your sleeve, the greater a magician you will be.

3. Be what you want to be.

You can be a mere hobbyist, or have a professional career in performing in front of a crowd, or you might want to be the next David Copperfield or Harry Houdini.

You need to work hard and invest more time, effort and practice if you want to be the next “great” magician.

4. Practice.

Perform a trick in private and make sure that it is perfect before attempting to perform it in front of an audience.

Also, never reveal your trade secrets, even to a friend, because this ruins the illusion.

Another important thing to remember is not to repeat the same trick in front of the exact same audience.

5. Know the right people.

If you plan to perform professionally for a particular group, either children or adults, you need to look for the contacts to help you land a gig or a performance to practice and hone your craft.

Using Hypnosis for Job Interview Anxiety

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 3:00 am

For many people, the very thought of a job interview can cause an attack of the nerves: butterflies in the stomach, dry mouth, and weak knees. Sometimes, the thought of a job interview can even trigger a panic attack. If this happens to you, you might be interested in some tips on using hypnosis for job interview anxiety.

If the thought of a job interview makes you nervous, you have what is called anticipatory anxiety, and it is very common. Many people have it over all sorts of situations. You need to try to relax and calm down, and there are several ways to do this.

First, make sure you are completely prepared for the interview, down to the fine detail of knowing exactly how to travel to the interview and contingencies in case of being delayed. Have your clothes picked out, any materials you are bringing ready, and make sure you get a good night s sleep beforehand. Also remember that life goes on after the interview, so try to keep it all in perspective. Even if you don’t get the job, you will have learned something worthwhile from the experience which you can improve upon in your next interview.

You should also practice some deep breathing exercises, breathing from the diaphragm and not your chest. This will trigger a relaxation response that will soon become second nature to you - it’s called 7-11 breathing. You breath in for a count of 7, and out for a count of 11 and repeat this slow, deep breathing for a few minutes until your body quietens down. This forces your body to move out of the ‘fight or flight’ state, into a more useful, calmer state.

Now, if you do all of these things and you still feel nervous, you might want to consider using hypnosis for your job interview anxiety. Hypnosis is really no more than a way to get into a deeply relaxed state, during which you are able to access your unconscious mind, where your fears and anxiety are stored. You will be able to replace any negative thoughts you are having about your job interview with positive thoughts. For example, you can practice hearing you talk confidently, and answer tricky questions without being flustered. As a result, you will find that your anxiety over the interview is greatly relieved, and you’ll go into your interview with an abundance of energy and confidence you canl give it your best.
