How to Increase the Working Power of Hypnosis

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 10:01 pm

Any hypnotherapist who is professionally trained and accredited will inform a new patient that not everyone responds to hypnosis power of suggestion. The truth is that some people are much more able to benefit from hypnosis than others. Some are more resistant to the idea of being completely relaxed and cannot seem to allow messages to penetrate their subconscious. Others, actually the majority of people, are open to the thought changing process of hypnosis and can benefit from its healing abilities.

In order to increase the likelihood that hypnosis will work for you, there are steps you can take to prepare yourself. It helps if you also understand that in order to be hypnotized you must be a willing participant. No one can be placed under the effects of hypnosis without wanting to be. Take these steps to increase your willingness and the effectiveness of hypnosis.

1. Make the decision. You need to decide consciously that you will give hypnosis a try. If for example, you have tried to lose weight through fad dieting or even more proven methods, but still haven t succeeded, then you need to accept the idea that millions of people have been able to lose weight using hypnosis, and that means you can too. Having a positive attitude and open mind will also allow you to relax effectively so hypnosis can work.

2. Find a therapist you trust. Hypnosis requires a completely relaxed mental and physical state to work. You need to do some research into the credentials of the hypnotherapist in whom you are placing your trust. You can ask for references and call those clients to be sure they had a positive experience. If you are using self-hypnosis, be sure the person creating the programs is qualified to do so.

3. Continue the process on your own. Hypnotherapy sessions in an office generally run from 30-60 minutes. You can follow up on the therapy through self-hypnosis programs that compliment your objectives. These are meant to be played each night before you go to sleep.

4. Use refresher sessions. Hypnosis can work almost immediately, as in the case of quitting a smoking habit. You may find that with hypnosis you can quit cold turkey. However, it is not uncommon to face temptations to light up again, even if you have gone months without a craving. If this happens, revisit your hypnotherapist or restart a self-hypnosis program at home where you replay the therapeutic CD for another week.

5. Keep an open mind. Again, hypnosis is only effective if you are a willing participant. It has the power to break bad habits, motivate you for change, and build confidence. It can even heal illness, boost the immune system and give you the power to succeed.

Hypnosis is most effective when you are frequent, consistent, and confident it can work for you. Make hypnosis a habit by using self-hypnosis programs for at least 21 consecutive nights. Through this process you will develop the skills to relax and allow the message of the hypnotic script to work at modifying behaviors and achieving goals.

Magicians

Filed under: Magician Magic Shows — maghyp @ 10:00 pm

Since the beginning of times, human beings have a fascination for the unknown. For instance, our primitive ancestors worshipped lightning and thunder. Some of that secret admiration still remains inside us, and that is the reason why we feel an attraction for magicians.

From little kids’ birthday parties to million dollar shows, these professionals have astonished people on the widest variety of places and situations, including movies, books, TV shows, and so on.

Nowadays, there are magic schools that prepare prospective magicians for their future career. These schools do not only instruct magicians in the arts of disappearing handkerchiefs, or taking rabbits out of hats, but also take care of more complete aspects of artistic expression, such as acting, verbal communications and public speeches, and even dance routines, as these arts are becoming more and more helpful when entertaining an audience that is harder to satisfy day by day.

Every day magicians and magic shows are getting more complex and more complete; today if a magician wants to make a difference between himself and the rest of his colleagues, he needs not only to perform flawlessly, but also be in constant search for new visually impressive tricks to attract a highly demanding audience.

Sadly, this creating process often takes several months or even years, so it is usual for famous magicians to remain out of public appearances for a lot of time, and return to stages once a year or maybe every two years with more and more impressive tricks that leave the eager audience breathless.

Back in the past days, magic schools were an option for magicians to improve their proficiency and get better in what they do; today these institutions are essential even for beginners to learn tricks and prepare themselves for this very competitive field.

Magic is not a hobby anymore, today it is a profitable career. It all depends on preparation and creativity.

Hypnotic Myths

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 10:00 am

Even though hypnosis has been around officially since the 1700s (Franz Anton Mesmer), there are still questions as to its validity and benefits. For the most part, these questions stem from fear and ignorance. Regarding this subject, it is generally assumed that what you don t know can hurt you. People s viewpoints on hypnosis vary according to what their experiences have been and what they ve heard.

I am a stable, responsible, levelheaded, intelligent person. I am also a licensed hypnotherapist. One of the requirements for finishing hypnotherapy training was to go out and practice what you ve learned; my obvious targets in this endeavor were primarily my family and friends.

My oldest child staunchly refuses to have anything to do with hypnosis, even now (I ve been a hypnotherapist for 6 years.). She is not a child; she is in her early 30s and is a successful video producer. Still, she says that she s not going to do something that might get her lost somewhere and unable to return.

My second child has volunteered to be hypnotized by me numerous times. He loves the experience. He enjoys how relaxed it makes him feel, and he believes that he derives great benefit from it.

My third child is aloof about the whole subject. He doesn t validate or discount it one way or another. He s just to busy to give it a try.

I am curious about people who draw conclusions about hypnosis when they haven t actually experienced it in some way. It baffles me how a person can discount it when hypnosis has not negatively impacted them or someone they know.

I ve had people tell me that hypnosis is the devil s work , yet I know of pastors who practice hypnotherapy in their counseling practices. I ve had professionals say to me, Yes, but does it actually work? Well, does dieting actually work? Does imagery actually work? In order for something to actually work the user has to have a certain amount of belief in it. So, whether or not hypnosis actually works depends on the belief of the subject and to some degree, the skill of the hypnotherapist.

 You cannot get lost while hypnotized. There is no place to get lost to. You do not leave your body or your mind behind and go off somewhere.

 No one can put thoughts into your head or make you do things that you would not ordinarily do. Your own core values cannot be violated by another; if, under certain circumstances, you could be moved to bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken, then a hypnotic suggestion to do so would not violate your core values.

 Others cannot take over or control your mind. Your mind has 2 components: the conscious mind, which is the objective part, assists you in making daily decisions and analyzing data. The subconscious part is subjective, and this is where your creativity and abstract thinking lie. The subconscious is inclined to believe what you tell it. For instance, if you think something, then to your subconscious mind, that is so. It does not analyze facts; if you think it, then it accepts it as fact. If you think that others can control your mind, then for you, that is true. But only because you allow the idea to be a fact for you.

 Anyone can be hypnotized. What happens when you re watching television and someone tries to get your attention? Have you ever been driving down the road, only to look around and see that you ve gone much further than you thought? When you focus your concentration to the point where everything else is screened out, then you are in a state of hypnosis. Hypnosis narrows your focus and concentration. You do that when you are intent in a conversation, or performing any activity that decreases your awareness of things outside of yourself.

Hypnosis is not a mystery. It is not evil, and it is not mind control. It is simply a way to temporarily bypass the rational mind in order to facilitate desired changes. Many, many people have successfully undergone hypnosis and achieved their goals.
