Magic Happens

Filed under: Magician Magic Shows — maghyp @ 4:00 pm

Those are the words in an advertisement on the television screen when
I walked into the living room yesterday. I was doing my usual morning
routine of getting the children up and out of the house so Katherine
would arrive at school on time.

Usually the TV is not something I notice. My normal words are, “Turn
off the TV before you leave the room.”

Two words on the screen stopped me in my tracks.

More common was another saying that tells us “Something Negative
Always (my translation) Happens”

I noticed a few specific details of this advertising.

1. It was provided by a company whose mission includes creating the
most universally positive experiences for people who participate in
their products and services. The company? Disney.

2. It made the statement as pure truth: obviously it is a belief they
are sending out to the world. They translate this belief into something
tangible each and every day to consumers who are ready and willing to
share in their vision. I have many personal experiences where Magic
HAS happened at Disneyland, while watching a Disney movie, listening
to a Disney soundtrack, shopping in our local Disney store.

3. The statement is supported by creating the context for Magic to
happen consistently, as I illustrated above. They don’t just say that
Magic happens, Disney actively creates magic.

So how can we share this vision, not only in the arena of amusement
parks, resorts, cruises, and other entertainment venues?

We can actively create a space for magic to happen in our lives. We
can support our context with the firm heartspaced belief that magic
is already happening all around us. Taking action towards magic
continually makes more magic.

Sure, you could choose to have a “Something Negative Always Happens”
mindset. Wouldn’t you rather have a “Magic Happens, and I am the
Personification of the Magic Wand” mindset?

Try it out.

Magic happens.

What’s Hard to Find, but Always with You?

Filed under: Hypnosis NLP — maghyp @ 10:01 pm

To create a wonderful life, you first need to make a choice: will you use your thinking to help yourself to the happy, fulfilling life you wish for, or will you allow the often haphazard, random ideas we gather over time to non-consciously run your life for you? What you think leads directly to feelings and actions. Think in one direction, you will feel and act accordingly. Think differently, your feelings and actions will be different. Those thoughts are powerful, aren’t they? The only trouble is, ideas can become so ingrained that we don’t even need to be aware for them to exert instant control over us. Here’s an example. Suppose you are driving your car home from work or some other familiar place, a trip you’ve made many times before. As you drive, you might be thinking of all sorts of things: what you’ll have for dinner, what you’ll wear tomorrow, what happened during the day, etc. You come to a red light, yet not once do you need to say to yourself, “Oh, there’s a red light. It means stop the car. I’d better stop or I may be in some danger, or get a ticket. I’ll take my foot off the gas and slowly press down on the brake and come to a smooth stop.” Nor did you need to say to yourself, “There’s Main Street. I have to make a left turn. Now I’ll switch on my directional signal because…”, and so on. You didn’t have to say any of that consciously, yet you do successfully stop when you need to and turn when you need to. Things we have learned and believe to be true become automatic thinking, often outside of our awareness, but nonetheless motivational. What’s hard to find, but always with you? Your automatic thinking, of course!

If you reflect on your daily life, a large part is routine and very obviously controlled by this non-conscious thinking. However, the same is true for many less obvious, though powerful motivations, too. Now take a minute and imagine a behavior or emotion you wish you could change. What kind of thinking would you need to use that will point toward the new you? Doesn’t it just make good sense to find productive ideas that will lead to your desired result, and then plant them in your mind to use whenever you need? The very best way I know to “plant” an idea is with self hypnosis. Self hypnosis helps to get past the roadblocks we set up to keep new ideas from getting in, like skepticism, critical thinking, or suspicion. Funny thing is, those roadblocks are usually very necessary in this complicated world, but surely you don’t have to protect yourself from the ideas you want the most! So, the way around it all is hypnosis. Hypnosis, for a person willing to give it a try, is a highly effective way to place ideas, technically called “suggestions”, into that person’s deepest thought processes.Self hypnosis is usually thought of as a person listening to an audio tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media, intended to induce a willingness to absorb suggestions centered around a specific topic such as weight loss, stop smoking, etc. Unfortunately, this kind of hypnosis is generally prepared by someone who has never met the person being hypnotized, often presenting unwanted, even unpleasant imagery and suggestions. For example, if you sunburn easily, that last thing you want to hear about is a slow walk on a sunny beach. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis simply means that you listen to it by yourself!

A true self hypnosis would necessarily be designed and created by the very person who will ultimately use and benefit from it. Unlike the mass-produced hypnosis, this hypnosis is made for the exact purpose the person wishes, including the precise words and phrases that mean the most to that particular person. The true self hypnosis is thus crafted by the person to suit his or her own needs. The benefits derived could only be accomplished with such a personal, one-of-a-kind hypnosis. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis really does mean that you are hypnotized by yourself!

So, when you find that gem of an idea that will lead you directly to your goal, you want those very words describing your new idea to be included in your hypnosis. Here are a couple of websites that can help you acheive this. At http://self-hypnosis.org you’ll find details on creating and recording your own self hypnosis, for free. Another one is http://www.hypnosoft.com where, for a small fee, you can use the online software to create a custom self hypnosis mp3. You’re going to think anywayFind Article, so why not help yourself think your way to a better life? Create the wonderful life you truly deserve!

Magic Levitation - The Ultimate in Magic

Magic Levitation - The Ultimate in Magic

There are all kinds of magic tricks these days that are quite fascinating and amazing. You have your classic everyday card tricks, you have coin tricks, and magic tricks involving everyday objects. But there is one magic trick that blows all other magic tricks away, and that is the capability of being able to levitate some object into mid air.

Of all the magic tricks that I perform for people, when I can all of a sudden borrow a dollar bill from them and magically have it float under my command without any evidence of magnets or strings, and hand the dollar bill back to them, they are always blown away in astonishment. Magic levitation defies gravity and it messes with people’s minds because what they are seeing is something you would only see on television or in movies. But there they are, staring at this dollar bill, right in from of their eyes, magically floating up and down.

The best thing about performing magic levitation is doing it impromptu. This adds more to the effect as the spectator will believe more into your magical powers as the questions that they will have cannot be answered. And this is the beauty of being able just to walk up to anyone at anytime and levitate something. They will realize that there was no setup. It just happened, pure magic.

To top off all of magic levitation is the art of being able to levitate yourself into the air. This is ladies and gentlemen, the show stopper. To actually show somebody that you will levitate off the ground and float is one of the best reactions you will get from performing magic.

There are various guarded methods today that magicians use to pull off this effect. Some of them are better than others and have their advantages over one another also. The most commonly used levitation effect is the Balducci Levitation. It’s common because it is easy to perform and does provide a great illusion of floating. Another levitation effect used and has become popular is The King Rising. This routine is slightly different than the Balducci effect and can achieve more height off the ground in my opinion. But the latest levitation effect that has come out that really blows all levitations away is the Icarus Levitation. This levitation is truly mind boggling to see in person. It really is hands down the most visual levitation to date. If you really want to make some one faint, this effect will pretty much do it.

So if you really want to take your magic to another level, and I mean literally another level, you should invest your time and practice into magic levitation. In today’s world, it is getting harder and harder to shock people as people have seen everything done from watching TV or Movies. Our minds have been programmed to accept what we see for the most part, but the one thing that still will turn heads and make people think twice, is being able to levitate.
